Olympic Gold champion and recent I’m A Celebrity contestant Linford Christie has signed on to become the face of Kleenex Pockets.

The new ads, created by Partners Andrews Aldridge, play on Linford’s reputation as ‘the lunchbox’ with the tagline ‘I’ve got a tiny packet’ and will feature in press and outdoor advertising from 2nd December, supported by a large-scale sampling campaign in men’s magazines.
Kleenex Assistant Brand Manager Chrissy Lecky says: “We realise that traditional pocket packs of tissues are less appealing to men as they can be too bulky to fit comfortably into the pocket of your jeans or suit jacket.
“Who better to act as ambassador for our new tiny packets than Linford, a man famed for his impressive body.”
Kleenex brand manager Chrissy Lecky is a joker. “Who better to act as ambassador for our new tiny packets than Linford, a man famed for his impressive body.” Oh Chrissy you only chose Linford because of the percieved size of his genitalia.
Back in the early 1990s Linford used to wear Lycra shorts when he raced and the British media became obsessed with how big his genitalia looked in side his shorts, and went on to coin the ridiculous term “the lunchbox”. It later became a long-standing joke amongst media types / personalities. They were OBSESSED!
At the time Linford Christie objected (and rightly so) to the term as it implied racial stereotyping. That old tired myth that all black men have penises bigger than tree trunks and nothing else. But judging from the print ad campaign he seems to have had a change of heart.
Money really does talk!

At least he’s getting paid on the back of I’m a Celebrity! Good on him too.
The pic the official pic for the ad? Because they are using an old pic of Linford.
I think it is. But you’re right today I was thinking that’s not 2011 Linford. That’s Linford almost 20 years ago.
well as long as he’s getting paid…why not! A brother making some extra paper is never a bad thing.
LOL at them using an old pic… where they do that at?
